Abstract
The university of the 21st century is located in a borderline position between two paradigms, sustainability and neoliberalism, which beyond its epistemological legacy urgently requires the solution of the great challenges facing humanity, therefore, this article seeks through of documentary hermeneutical analysis, to reflect on the urgent position of a university that proposes and is a protagonist of social change that leads to sustainable development. The research does not intend to be conclusive, rather it deals with the gnoseological analysis for the confrontation of the mentioned paradigms, which finally converge in an educational formation to recreate bioethical competences that will be achieved with the implementation of the curricular sustainability, so that the graduates more beyond technical epistemic training, foster a space for critical dialogue, through participatory teaching and action-research that contributes to creating a sustainable production development model.
