N2 - Work motivation is described under elements that are part of the culture of organizations. The objective of the study was to analyze the relationship between work motivation and stress coping strategies in university teachers. The methodology was referred to a correlational design, the sample of 103 teachers to whom it was applied virtually after their acceptance, the work motivation questionnaire with reliability 0.96 and the Coping Strategies Scale-modified with reliability of 0.84. A very low negative relationship was found between work motivation and coping with stress, which shows that there is a low intrinsic motivation relationship with problem solving and extrinsic motivation, a low positive relationship with social support and a low negative relationship with religion, positive reappraisal and difficulty. coping. Transcendental motivation has a moderate positive relationship with problem solving and a low positive relationship with cognitive avoidance; It is low negative with waiting, aggressive reaction and difficulty coping with stress. It is concluded that the levels of teacher motivation are low and are associated with stress coping strategies of teachers that are frequently used.
